Dr. Pramod Narsingh KC

Dr. Pramod KC is a seasoned scholar with a diverse academic background and extensive research experience in public policy and administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Yonsei University, South Korea, where he was a key member of the BK21 Plus Team for International Development and Social Economy Governance. As part of this team, he conducted in-depth research utilizing thematic case study analysis, focusing on e-governance and comparative institutional development in Nepal and assessing the expectance disconfirmation model on public service delivery in Ethiopia. Continuing his academic journey, Dr. KC completed a Post-Doctoral fellowship at the University of Sheffield, UK, where he focused on examining the impact of federalization on Nepal's health system. His research aimed to identify and analyze the challenges and opportunities arising from the initiation of federalization, with a particular emphasis on its implications for the health sector. Currently, Dr. KC serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Policy and Management at Kathmandu University, where he is actively engaged in both teaching and research. He also holds the role of project coordinator for the KU Policy Lab, leading initiatives to conduct evidence-based policymaking research across various domains. Dr. KC's professional experience extends beyond academia, as evidenced by his tenure as a Senior Research Manager in the USAID Clean Air Activity, affiliated with the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago. In this capacity, he contributed significantly to research endeavors related to the Air Quality Life Index in Nepal, demonstrating his commitment to addressing pressing environmental and public health challenges. Prior to his current roles, Dr. KC served as a faculty member at Thammasat University, where he led a project exploring the relationship between ICT engagement and self-deterministic theory among Southeast Asian school students. Additionally, he has served as a consultant for the 'Nepal-Pakistan Country ODA Portfolio Evaluation,' collaborating with KOICA Headquarters and Seoul National University to monitor, evaluate, and conduct research on bilateral projects between the Governments of Nepal and Korea. With his extensive academic background, research expertise, and practical experience in both academia and consultancy, Dr. Pramod KC continues to make significant contributions to the fields of public policy and administration, with a focus on fostering evidence-based policymaking and addressing pressing societal challenges.

Dr. Chandra Katuwal, Ph.D., brings over 12 years of rich experience in qualitative research, health promotion, disability inclusion, and disaster management. With a doctorate in Sociology from Tribhuvan University, his expertise encompasses gender-based violence, disability rights, and community resilience. As a registered researcher with ethical approval from the Nepal Health Research Council, Dr. Katuwal excels in research methodologies and data analysis, evident in his contributions to peer-reviewed articles. His leadership roles as National Program Coordinator for the National Federation of the Disabled-Nepal and Executive Director of Parents Federation of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities highlight his commitment to inclusive education and community engagement. He has conducted baseline surveys and assessments for prominent organizations like Plan International and CBM Nepal. Notably, he served as District President of HURPEF, advocating for human rights and peace in Dailekh district. Bhola Pd Koirala is an accomplished Researcher, Demographer, and Statistician with over twelve years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and research. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and a Master's degree in Population Demography, Bhola has worked extensively with INGOs and NGOs on program and project monitoring, including short-term consulting assignments. He specializes in various areas such as research methodology, data analysis, and report writing, particularly for Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) surveys. Bhola is proficient in mixed evaluation methods and has managed data for over 50 research assignments, demonstrating expertise in applied research, participatory analysis, and project management. From advocating for nutrition integration into local government policies to conducting qualitative assessments of projects aimed at community transformation and adolescent girls' empowerment, Mr. Khatiwada has demonstrated his ability to examine complex issues, gather qualitative data using a range of methodologies, and derive actionable insights. Minakshi Rokka has more than twelve years of dedicated service in various national, international organizations and private sectors her expertise lies in environmental and social safeguarding, supported by both practical experience and theoretical knowledge. Her hands-on involvement in leading environmental and social safeguards within USAID and Green Climate Fund (GCF) funded projects and leading the ESG team in a $100 million investment in a pioneer private equity firm in Nepal has honed her skills as a proficient development professional. She excels in operationalizing and implementing environmental and social safeguards with precision and clarity, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines. Minakshi Rokka Chhetri has been extensively involved in research throughout her career. During her tenure at the Institute for Social and Environmental Transition Nepal, she engaged in various studies, including co-leading research on urban and peri-urban agriculture, vulnerability capacity assessment, resilient food systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation. Additionally, she contributed to studies on carbon sequestration by community forests to mitigate climate change impacts, as well as assessing the implications of climate change risks in community water supply projects. Her research contributions have been acknowledged through publications and presentations, demonstrating her commitment to advancing knowledge in environmental science and sustainable development.

Prior to this, he served as the Deputy Programme Manager at Mott MacDonald, overseeing the Nepal Climate Change Support Program (NCCSP II). With his extensive background in health and nutrition programs, including his role as Senior Manager at Helen Keller International, Rabi Kiran has demonstrated expertise in multi-sectoral project implementation, stakeholder coordination, research, and evaluation.
